Location: At a night club.

Make her want more of you

Scene 1: Man approaches woman standing overlooking a balcony at a night club. Not intending to hit on the female he simply asks if that is her drink sitting on the ledge next to her. She informs him “Yes” and doesn’t say another word but stares interested at the man. The man replies nonchalantly “Oh, ok. I’m sorry. I know I put my drink down here just a minute ago and I thought that was mine. I was drinking Corona and it looked like the same drink in your cup.” Not lingering he then adds, “Thanks, see you around.” The woman expecting to talk about how they both like the same beer was stunned that he politely excused himself without hitting on her. She stands there intrigued.

Synopsis: What happened here? Why is she intrigued? Well, for one he distinguished himself from every other poor pick up line in the place by not trying to even have a conversation with her. They connected right away because they were drinking the same beer and he left it open by saying “See you around.”

Scene 2: After making his rounds around the night club the man found himself slowly passing the woman from earlier. Not occupied with any other obligations at the moment he decides to start some conversation since, hell, she seemed like a cool chic and wasn’t too bad looking either. He approaches her from the side and casually asks, “So what exactly were you drinking anyway.” She laughs and proceeds to talk about the similar taste in beer that they shared. After about 15 minutes of non-sexual innuendo styled conversation they begin talking about the ‘wackos’ in the place. She reveals “I thought you were safe to talk to because you didn’t full out hit on me before.”

Synopsis: Wow… that’s all it took? She completely let him in on the secret. He’s successfully talking to this hot chic because he didn’t even really care if he talked to her in the first place.

Moral of the story: Lay the ground work early and come back to finish the job later once the idea that you’re not a creep or a scum bag settles in.
